  • What should I expect from a General Pest Treatment?
Your Pest Management Technician will use a variety of products including: sprays, dusts, gels, baits, and other products to treat common pests like spiders, cockroaches, ants, wasps, fleas, and silverfish. If your technician sees evidence of Rodents or German Cockroaches, he will discuss a plan of attack with you that may include extra services and a follow up treatment in a few weeks.
  • How do I prepare for a General Pest Treatment?
You don’t have to do anything however the following points, there applicable, will help to give you the best result: • Have a general tidy and pick up loose toys and bits and pieces • Sweep, vacuum and or mop the day before treatment. Please don’t mop on the day of treatment – we need to have a dry floor for best results. • Where possible move furniture away from the walls • If you have young children or pets have a plan to keep them away from the sprayed areas until they are dry. (Your Pest Management Technician can offer ideas if needed) • Move pet bowls, beds and toys away from the areas to be treated (and cover if needed). Be sure to thoroughly wash and clean these items before the pets have access to them again.
  • How long does a General Pest Treatment take?
A typical 3-4 bedroom residential property takes about 1.5 – 2hrs to treat, and then needs an hour or two to dry (depending on the weather). While this may be a bit longer than other companies, our motivation isn’t speed, it’s understanding your needs and providing a thorough and professional service. Your Pest Management Technician will be able to give you an indication of timing for Commercial buildings.
  • How long after the service can I mop (or clean my windows)?
The longer you can leave it the better. We recommend spot mopping when needed. When you need to mop the floor, try to stay away from the skirting boards and kick boards (in the kitchen). This will help the treatment last longer. Likewise with your windows, try to keep away from the edges and window tracks and instead of hosing them use a damp cloth followed by a dry one.
  • Are your products safe for my children and pets?
Yes, they are. We recommend that you keep your children and pets away from the treated areas, particularly the sprayed areas, until they are dry. Then it is safe for them to continue as normal.
  • What if it’s raining
If there is heavy rain at the time of your treatment we will perform all other aspects of the service except the external ones, then reschedule the external ones for a later date. Our external spray products are designed for the Australian climate and to dry quickly, in about 10-15mins. If rain arrives after this time the treatment is fine as it’s already bonded to the surface. (Think of it like paint on a wall. Once it’s dry, the rain won’t wash it off).
  • What if I still see pests after the treatment?
It’s normal to see some pest activity after the treatment. This will slow down after a few weeks however the treatments will remain active and will take care of any stragglers for quite some time to come.
  • How often should I have my property treated?
Every 6-12 monthly. Ideally have your next treatment before you notice an influx of pests. Your environment (and that of your neighbors ), the weather cycles and extremes, among other elements will all impact your frequency of treatment. Remember, prevention is better than the cure!
  • When is the best time for a Pest Treatment?
When you notice more Pests than you are comfortable with.
  • Who is responsible for getting rid of pests in a rental property?
Tenants are usually responsible for getting rid of pests if the issue arose after they moved in. If you are unsure if it’s a tenant or landlord responsibility, contact your Property Manager for clarification.
